Matt is an ex-1st XV captain. Now mainly retired from the oval ball game due to a recurrant neck injury caused, in part, by the size of his swede, he makes occasional cameo appearances for Shag's 3rd XV where he specialises in getting in the way.
1st son of The Puffer, he's followed his Dad and taken up the wooden balls. A latecomer to the saints inaugural season last year he had some impresssive scores both on and off the alley where he charmed the women of the Ableton Allstars and the Hallen ladies with his boyish good looks, winning smile and enormous head.
This year The Hour has continued in the same vein and, despite some harrassment at The Fox when several of the grey girls from The Castaways manhandled his ample rear as he addressed the pins, he's managed an impressive average of 32.4 pins from his 5 matches.
Our loss is philanthropy's gain however as his appearances this year are likely to be limited by his charity work, buying and refurbishing houses to give to needy girls
