Newcomers boost Saints seconds

Newcomers boost Saints seconds. Captain Tom Selman and his (contrary to earlier inaccurate reports) 67 year old team manager Alan Rawlings, were delighted with the sides first outing of the season. Featuring several newcomers recruited from the UWE together with returning favourites Mike Davidge and Sam Thorne, plus Craig (Grizzly)Caple, pulling the strings at No 10,( contrary to earlier inaccurate reports), they proved too much for a competitive Barts second string.
Tries from Davidge 2, Charad and Shepperd plus three conversions from the hairy one saw the side complete a 26-0 victory with the home try line rarely if ever threatened, thanks to great defensive work from the likes of Pearce, Polis and Weeks.
Due to a plethora of non availabilities next week there will be a number of changes to the side but hopefully we can build on this weeks success and look to the future with confidence.
