Peter has been with the club for 38 years. Shortly after joining he became involved helping to run the bar and had a period as bar committee chairman.
When the club sold the land at Gracelands we moved to Filton. Whilst here as a preparation to moving to our new ground he sourced and purchased the tractor, this is still in use today and is lovingly cared for by Andy.
When the club was looking to buy land to move to it was Peter who suggested that Mr Irish the farmer had some land for sale. An Ordnance survey map was purchased and this was passed to Chalky and Chris Dagger who eventually purchased this land and built the clubhouse.
Immediately prior to moving here Peter surveyed the land and marked out the pitches then helped insert the concrete sleeves for the posts.
When Adrian Siddorn became Chairman he decided to get the driveway tarmacked Peter helped with technical advice and on the day it was layed.
When his playing days were finished Peter ran the line for the first fifteen travelling everywhere with them.
Peter is always present when working parties are organised and uses his expertise freely. Subsequently Peter has become Chairman.
Truly he deserves the highest accolade the club can bestow that of Life Member.
Peter joins the list of following Life Members;
Robert Irving
Alan Rawlings
