Nailsea and Backwell beer and cider festival is held every summer at Nailsea and Backwell R.F.C. It is a festival that takes pride in it's wide range of beers and cider and showcases a variety of local bands and music with other entertainment on throughout the festivial.

2009 they had 45 beers and 28 ciders!! and managed to raise £6000 for childrens hospice south west. This year looks to be even bigger and chosen charity is children's hospice south. They are not for profit. They give all proceeds from the village fete and raffles etc and 25% of beer festival profits to charity. They share the rest with the Rugby Club to help-foster sport in the local community
