Winning start for ladies!
Ladies run in 7 tries in their 1st game if the season
St Marys ladies hosted Devizes in Mary's first league fixture of the season.
Marys were missing Vice Captain Bridget Sanger, Fly Half Becky Durham and various other players for this opener but showed great depth in the reshuffle to run out a comfortable 47-7 victory.
With new Summer signings in the starting line up there was pressure from the off and all Our new players stood up and got noticed. Including a 4 try romp from outside centre miriam soteriou.
This game really was a tale of 2 halves as marys were 40-0 up at the half time whistle, only to continue and draw 7-7 in the 2nd half.
Coach Neil Ward was pleased in the win but understands there are areas of our game we need to address in order to play our way for the whole match.
