SMOBL Draw with Cullies

St Marys played host to last seasons League winners Cullompton and both sides knew this game was gonna be tough.

Although Marys showed to be the more attacking side, loss of possession was frequent in contact which meant neither side could build a platform.

It was St Marys who were first on the score sheet with a well executed backs move which allowed winger Laura Rugman to cross in the corner, this is proving to be a trade mark of Rugman after scoring 6 tries in 3 games.

The wind played a huge part in the game and after piling on the pressure for most of the game, it was Cullompton who was to be next to score. The outside centre weaved her way through a tight gap to then run in for a try.

Marys will look at where they need to improve as they travel away to Weston Hornettes this Sunday.
