In the words of Plymouth's captain the score line doesn't always reflect the game. Not a more appropriate sentiment could be made! Mary's ladies put up a good show competing at all costs for the ball. The forwards did not give up putting constant pressure on Plymouth at every break down, ruck, line out and kick off and demonstrated an amazing level of focus, fitness and importantly passion.

Mary's came close on a few occasions to making it past the try line and spent a large proportion of the game in the oppositions half through the constant team work.

The backs at times looked threatening trying out some new moves with a new set up in the centre and put a great pace on the ball at all times.

Fresh legs in the second half kept Mary's fighting hard and pushing forward in a great game with the passion and enjoyment emanating from the players.

Plymouth took the game and held on loosely. They were strong under pressure and pushed hard in the scrums turning over a few balls. Plymouth worked exceptionally hard to take the win - sure to be another great game next time at their ground where I am confident the same passion for the game will be demonstrated!

Back of the Match: Becky Durham and Bridget Sanger
Forward of the Match: Angie Francis
Tit of the Match: Bridget Sanger (for falling over, for no apparent reason, in first few seconds of the game)
